It always starts with a story

Just a few minutes before the next-year-budget will be announced. I'm mumbling how they plan to divide the cake of economics which at the same time fighting with the increase of inflation rate. Or is there an element of surprise? Wait and see.

As what I expected! The inflation rate is at 7.7% which is higher than what BNM forecasted before. Even the bankers actually forecast a little bit higher (which is around 6 - 7 %), the actual figure shows the real thing. Maybe we can assume what will happen to our 2009 budget. Yes, it's a time to tight our stomach, to re-plan back our budget. Everthing is increasing! The higher cost and price of electricity and fuel will show a lot of cross price elasticity of demand.. This is where the microeconomics is applied!
